Blade Runner cumple veinticinco años II

"I guess you are through, ah? (...) It's too bad she won't live, but then again, who does?" This phrase, along with the famous last words from Roy Batty, are already part of the History -capital H- of cinema. Of course, Deckard was a replicant, but wasn't it also Edward James Olmos when he reflects on life, or the police chief, by hating the replicants, or even Tyrell? the paper unicorn is nothing but one of many hints along the movie. Of many scattered but uniform hints which show that, in a sense, we are all replicants in the continuosus struggle to keep leadership over evolution and superior species. Isn't that what homo sapiens did when he encountered homo erectus, what humans did to muties, what the lower do to the higher? food for thougt. Meanwhile, let's all pray, as Roy Batty did, to our peculiar Tyrell fathers.
